Kristin Mooney is an American pop music, folk rock and Americana singer and songwriter. She first began performing professionally in college. After college she moved to Nashville, TN where she continued performing live and started working as a session musician. Upon returning to MN in 1989 Mooney began working with various MN musicians including Peter Himmelman, Martin Zellar, Beat The Clock, John Munson and George Scot McKelvey. Mooney’s solo debut, titled ''Living Alone'', was released in 1998. The self-titled ''Kristin Mooney'', came out in 2004. Mooney’s third CD, titled ''Hydroplane'', was released in 2007. Mooney sang harmonies with Keith Richards, Norah Jones, Steve Earle, John Doe, Jim James, Raul Malo, Jim Lauderdale and Jay Farrar as a member of the "house band" for the ''Return to Sin City—A Tribute to Gram Parsons'' DVD. Mooney's voice was often heard on the CBS drama ''Judging Amy'' with music written and performed by longtime collaborator Peter Himmelman.
